Zoe Saldaña, the star of numerous blockbuster franchises — among them Avatar, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Trek — who is currently the subject of best supporting actress awards buzz for her performance in Jacques Audiard‘s highly-unconventional musical Emilia Pérez, has been selected to receive the SCAD Savannah Film Festival’s Vanguard Award, as revealed by the fest on Tuesday.

Saldaña, 46, known for starring in four films that have surpassed $2 billion in gross earnings, and who won the best actress prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival jointly with her Emilia Pérez costars Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez and Adriana Paz, will be honored after a screening of Emilia Pérez on the evening of Friday, Nov. 1, at the SCAD Trustees Theatre.

Earlier on the same evening, at 5:15pm ET, Saldaña will engage in a career-retrospective discussion with Christina Routhier at the SCAD Museum of Art, which will be recorded for an episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast.

“The SCAD Savannah Film Festival is thrilled to honor the exceptional talent of Zoe Saldaña,” expressed Christina Routhier, executive director of the festival. “Her remarkable work, including her remarkable performance in Emilia Pérez, is truly deserving of recognition. We are excited to celebrate her talent and esteemed career.”
