Elton John Reveals “Severe” Eye Infection Caused Limited Vision
Elton John is currently recovering from a concerning eye issue.
The iconic “Your Song” singer recently revealed that he has been battling “a severe eye infection” for the past few months, resulting in “limited vision in one eye.”
In a post on Instagram on Sep. 3, Elton shared, “I am in the process of healing, however, it’s a slow journey and it will take time before my vision fully returns.”
The 77-year-old expressed his gratitude towards his medical team and his family, which includes his husband David Furnish, and their sons Zachary (13) and Elijah (11), for taking care of him during his recovery period.
“I have been quietly recuperating at home this summer,” Elton added, “and I am optimistic about the progress I have made in my healing journey so far.”
Elton’s friends and fans have been sending him their well wishes, with comments like “Sending you all the love and peace in the world” from Billy Porter.
