Ellen DeGeneres Confronts Workplace Controversy in Last Comedy Special
Ellen previously sent an internal memo promising improvements and issued an apology during her season 18 premiere, stating, “I take that very seriously, and I want to say I am so sorry to the people who were affected.”
Despite an upcoming Netflix special, Ellen, married to Portia de Rossi since 2008, recently expressed her readiness to permanently leave Hollywood after the special airs.
During a stand-up show in Santa Rosa, Calif., on July 1, one fan inquired about Ellen’s future in Broadway or the big screen.
“Um, no,” Ellen responded, as reported by SFGATE. “This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.”
She expressed gratitude to her audience for their continued support, saying, “Thank you for still caring!”
