Eiza González Stands Up for Jennifer Lopez Following Tour Cancellation
Lopez, who has chosen not to engage with her online critics and recently dodged questions about the breakup rumors at an Atlas press event, was initially scheduled to kick off a summer tour at the end of June, with performances planned in arenas across the United States and Canada until early August. However, in March, seven shows were called off, and on May 31, a message sent out through her On The JLo fan newsletter announced the cancellation of the entire tour.
“Live Nation representatives announced today that Jennifer Lopez’s US Summer 2024 Tour, THIS IS ME…LIVE, has been canceled, stating that ‘Jennifer is taking a break to spend time with her children, family, and close friends,'” the statement read. “For those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster, refunds will be processed automatically – no further action is required from fans. For those who bought tickets from third-party resale sites such as SeatGeek, StubHub, VividSeats, etc., please contact the point of purchase for more information.”
The newsletter also included a “special message” from Lopez herself. “I am truly heartbroken and devastated by disappointing you,” she expressed. “Please know that I wouldn’t make this decision unless absolutely necessary. I promise to make it up to you, and we will reunite again. I love you all immensely. Until next time…”
