Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union Share the Details of Their Challenging Year
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union understand that marriage is like a full-court press.
Despite the challenges, the retired NBA player and Bring it On star emphasize that they are still a strong team as they mark their 10th wedding anniversary.
“Year nine was tough for us,” Dwyane confessed in a video shared by the couple on Instagram Aug. 30. “We were reflecting on how we made it to this point.”
With a blended family that includes daughter Kaavia (5) with Gabrielle, as well as Xavier (10), Zaya (17), and Zaire (22) from previous relationships, Dwyane acknowledges Gabrielle’s role in their success.
“Thank you for guiding me and reminding me of important things on this journey,” he expressed to his 51-year-old wife during their anniversary celebration in front of loved ones. “Thank you for demonstrating that you are committed to staying with me, loving me through my faults, and supporting my growth. Thank you for teaching me and believing in me.”
