Dwayne Johnson Returns to Alma Mater for ‘Full Circle Moment’ and Shares Hilarious Advice with College Students
At Canes Fest on September 1, Dwayne Johnson, known for Black Adam, delighted incoming freshmen at the University of Miami by sharing his Papatui men’s skincare and grooming products. The 52-year-old former college football player reminisced about his own college experience while interacting with the new students, calling it a cool full circle moment.
Johnson posted a video of freshmen trying out Papatui products at a booth during the event. The students had positive feedback about the brand.
Expressing his satisfaction, Johnson wrote, “Cool full circle moment that I’m able to gift our Miami incoming freshman their PAPATUI so they can take better care of themselves as they begin their exciting college journey.”
In addition to giving away products, Johnson offered humorous advice to the new college students, urging them to study hard, have fun, and avoid getting too drunk on Thursday nights because they still have class on Friday!
Johnson played football for the University of Miami in 1991, making an impact as a defensive lineman. Despite his achievements, he joked about his freshman year experiences and the challenges of football practice.
Aside from his playful advice, Johnson has shared important life lessons with his fans. In a PEOPLE interview in April, he talked about his mother’s support during his troubled teen years.
Reflecting on his past, Johnson advised his younger self to listen to his gut instincts. If something feels off, there’s a reason your gut is telling you. Trust that voice; it will guide you throughout your life.
He also joked about stealing Snickers bars in the past, advising his younger self to go back to the 7-Eleven in Hawaii, buy all the Snickers, pay for them, and leave them for others.
