Donald Trump Criticizes Stephen Colbert, Referring to Him as a ‘Total Loser’
Donald Trump recently criticized talk show host Stephen Colbert, accusing him of being “very boring” and suggesting that CBS should fire him. This comes after a series of clashes between Trump and late-night hosts, with Colbert becoming the target of Trump’s latest social media rant following a PBS interview.
In a post on Truth Social on September 24, Trump expressed his displeasure with Colbert’s comments during the PBS interview, where Colbert referred to Trump as boring and not an ideal guest for his show. Trump retaliated by calling Colbert unfunny, overpaid, overrated, and boring. He questioned why public funds should support someone he considers a “complete and total loser” like Colbert.
Trump went on to compare Colbert’s ratings unfavorably to that of Fox News host Greg Gutfeld, suggesting that Gutfeld’s show is outperforming Colbert’s. Trump urged CBS to remove Colbert from his position, claiming that anyone could do a better job for less money. He even offered to recommend someone smarter and more talented, or someone who would work for free.
Not stopping there, Trump also criticized other late-night hosts such as Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, and Jimmy Kimmel, calling them “two DOPES” on NBC & ABC. Colbert, in his PBS interview, stated that he would not invite Trump back to his show on CBS, describing him as “kind of boring” and someone he wouldn’t want to host due to perceived dishonesty.
