Joseph Purcell’s Death Mourned by His Son Dominic Purcell
Dominic Purcell is facing a heartbreaking loss.
The Prison Break star shared the passing of his father, Joseph Purcell, in a touching tribute posted on social media.
“My dad passed tonight,” Dominic wrote in his post on April 8, along with a photo of himself, his father, and his wife Tish Cyrus. “As a father, I believe the greatest gift he can receive from his child is the knowledge that he is deeply loved and respected. A father’s greatest wish for his child is to see them grow, thrive, and surpass him. That was his wish, and it came true.”
He added, “While I know I can never surpass him, I will strive to emulate him.”
The 54-year-old expressed his gratitude to the healthcare professionals who had taken care of his father, conveyed Joseph’s deep love for his many grandchildren, and revealed how his father had grown to love Tish.
“To my wonderful wife, loving you is the easiest thing in the world. It’s a natural connection,” wrote Dominic, previously married to Rebecca Williamson. “The incredible bond and love you shared with my dad, and vice versa, was truly special. As he once said, ‘What have I done to deserve these two beautiful angels?'”
