Recovery Divers Find Final Body 4 Days Following Sinking Incident
According to reports, Thomas passed away, with 15 out of the 22 people on board managing to survive.
Following the tragic incident, Charlotte Golunski, a survivor along with her partner James Emsley and 12-month-old daughter Sophie, recounted the harrowing experience they went through on their journey.
“I momentarily lost sight of my daughter in the sea, but quickly embraced her amidst the tumultuous waves,” she shared with Italian newspaper La Repubblica Aug. 20, as reported by BBC. “Everything was dark. I struggled to keep my eyes open in the water. I called out for help, but all I could hear were the cries of others around me.”
