Taking a break from his North American music tour, Dil-Luminati, Diljit recently made waves with an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show and starred in the critically acclaimed movie Amar Singh Chamkila earlier this year.
Despite the perception of sudden success, Diljit Dosanjh believes his stardom was a long time coming and not an overnight phenomenon. He stated during his Chandigarh promotions, “It’s not overnight fame.” With nearly 22 years in the industry, he has put in immense effort to establish his position in the industry.

He shared, “It came at a cost, as I couldn’t devote much time to my family. All those years of hard work have now paid off.” Dosanjh also mentioned that his success serves as inspiration for the younger generation, showing them that with determination, they can achieve great things.
Diljit Dosanjh talks about his connection to Punjab
Speaking to the media, the Crew actor emphasized his deep connection to Punjab, mentioning that he draws energy from his roots. “No matter where I am, Punjab is always with me,” Dosanjh expressed. He also revealed his commitment to making at least one Punjabi film and album every year.
For him, this commitment to Punjab is primary, with everything else coming after it,” the 40-year-old artist concluded.
