Diddy’s $50 Million Bond Proposal Denied in Jail Release Attempt Following Arrest
Diddy Charged With Sex Trafficking & Racketeering
After being arrested based on a sealed indictment, Sean Combs had the indictment unsealed on Sept. 17.
The 54-year-old was accused of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation for prostitution, as per court documents obtained by NBC News.
The indictment claimed that Combs had “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to satisfy his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and hide his actions” for over a decade, starting around 2008.
“To accomplish this,” the documents explained, “Combs utilized the employees, resources, and influence of his diverse business empire, creating a criminal organization whose members and associates engaged in various crimes like sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.”
According to NBC News, Combs entered a not guilty plea and was denied bail.
His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressed outside the courthouse before the arraignment that, “He’s going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might, and the full confidence of his lawyers.”
