Did You Know Siddhant Chaturvedi thought he might land a role in Farhan Akhtar’s Don while testing for Yudhra? ‘It was a far fetched dream’

Siddhant Chaturvedi Dreamed of Landing a Role in Farhan Akhtar’s Don During Yudhra Auditions: ‘It Seemed Impossible’

Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Farhan Akhtar, is generating a lot of excitement among fans even before production has started. It is one of the most anticipated films of 2025. Recently, Siddhant Chaturvedi, who is preparing for his upcoming film Yudhra, expressed his interest in being a part of Don 3.

During auditions for Yudhra, Siddhant thought he might also have a chance to be cast in Don 3, especially since Farhan Akhtar was involved in the casting process. Siddhant mentioned, “It was a distant dream for me to be a part of an action film at that time.”

In an interview with News 18, Siddhant Chaturvedi talked about how he landed the role in Yudhra and his initial confusion with Don 3. After the success of Gully Boy, Siddhant sought guidance from his mentor Ritesh Sidhwani, who had been advising him since his Inside Edge days.

During their discussion about Siddhant’s career goals, he expressed his interest in doing an action film. At the same time, Siddhant learned that Farhan Akhtar was working on an action project with writer Shridhar Raghavan. Assuming it was Don 3 because of Farhan’s involvement, Siddhant expressed his desire to be a part of the film.

While Siddhant hoped to be cast in Don 3, Ritesh Sidhwani clarified that the project was not related to the Don franchise. Despite the confusion, Siddhant met with director Ravi Udyawar for Yudhra and impressed him with his performance in Gully Boy. Ravi wanted Siddhant to bring the same energy and attitude of MC Sher from Gully Boy to Yudhra.

Although Yudhra was not Don 3, Siddhant Chaturvedi was thrilled to work on the film. He was excited about the opportunity to be part of a big-scale action movie and collaborate with talented technicians and co-actors. Yudhra, set to release on September 20, also stars Malavika Mohanan and Raghav Juyal in key roles.
