Describing her journey in the industry as a serendipitous adventure, Nargis admitted, “It all started with a random email that I decided to respond to, which ultimately led to my first big break in Bollywood.” She mentioned that everything that happened to her was simply fate unfolding as it was meant to be.
The Madras Cafe actress confessed that everything “happened unexpectedly” and all the success she achieved was a result of fortunate events and opportunities. She shared that starting from that one email, she navigated auditions, landed good roles, and it all happened because of gratitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
Nargis believes that the path to success can be unpredictable and challenging, but she plans to embrace whatever comes her way in her journey. Being of mixed Pakistani-Czech ethnicity and holding American nationality, Nargis considers herself a global citizen.

Nargis Fakhri Reflects on the Impact of Rockstar
Recently, Rockstar was re-released in theaters and felt as fresh as it did a decade ago. Fans flocked to theaters and experienced the same thrill as they did when they first watched this Ranbir Kapoor movie. In the same interview, Nargis looked back on her debut with Rockstar, calling it the most significant film of her career with the most challenging role.
She expressed that the movie allowed her to showcase her acting skills in a high-profile project directed by Imtiaz Ali. Nargis stated, “It pushed me to explore my limits as an actor and set a standard for the kind of roles I could undertake in the future.” The 44-year-old actress referred to Rockstar as a defining moment in her career that opened doors for her in the industry.
Even today, Rockstar is considered a cult classic, and the continued love and support it receives is both rewarding and humbling for Nargis. She mentioned, “It’s incredible to see how the film still resonates with audiences years after its original release.”
Nargis Fakhri’s Favorite Genre
Despite enjoying all genres, the Main Tera Hero star has a soft spot for action comedy. Nargis finds the physicality and adrenaline rush in action films particularly appealing and enjoys performing stunts and portraying strong, dynamic characters. She added, “The intensity and excitement of action movies hold great appeal for me.”
Known for her roles in films like Azhar and Dishoom, Nargis believes that comedy allows her to explore different facets of her personality. She expressed, “I love making people laugh and bringing joy to audiences.”
Besides movies, Nargis has also appeared in the Zee 5 web series Tatlubaaz and several music videos like Fayaah Fayaah and Woofer. Her upcoming project is the Telugu film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, currently in the filming stage.
