In a recent interview with Pinkvilla’s Hindi Rush, celebrity paparazzo Varinder Chawla shared insights into the wedding of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He mentioned how the media was prevented from capturing moments outside the Bachchan family’s house, Prateeksha, by parking a bus to block their view. When the security provided by Amar Singh from the Samajwadi Party manhandled media persons trying to capture a glimpse of the family, tensions rose.

“There was a major media ban in place, banning everyone from photographing Amitabh ji, Abhishek, Aishwarya, and Jaya ji. Photographers would protest by placing their cameras down or in the air, refusing to capture images of the family,” Chawla shared.

Chawla also mentioned how the situation was eventually resolved when Amitabh Bachchan realized it was negatively impacting their image and business. A meeting was called at JW Marriott with the media to address the issue and lift the ban.
