Kamli, from the movie Dhoom 3 released in 2013, stands out as one of her best performances. The hard work she put into performing stunts in the song is evident and impressive.
Renowned dancer Shakti Mohan assisted choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant in creating the Kamli dance sequence. Recently, she addressed false claims suggesting she acted as a body double for Katrina Kaif in the song.
Shakti Mohan denies being Katrina Kaif’s body double
In a recent interview with Mirchi Plus, Shakti Mohan clarified the misconception about her being Katrina Kaif’s body double in Kamli.
“I received this reel where people were saying I was the body double for Katrina Kaif in the song. Just think about it, how could I be a body double?” Shakti questioned.
Comparing herself to Katrina in terms of height, Shakti emphasized that she worked as an assistant director to Vaibhavi Merchant on set. She pointed out that in the making of the song, she was seen alongside Vaibhavi while Katrina was performing.
Shakti revealed that her friend Emily from Paris actually acted as Katrina’s body double in the track.
Remembering Katrina Kaif’s dedication on set
Shakti Mohan commended Katrina Kaif’s dedication and hard work in executing challenging dance routines for Kamli. She mentioned that the actress worked tirelessly and even sustained bruises during the performance.
