Dia Mirza shares rare photos of her children Avyaan and Samaira to mark husband Vaibhav Rekhi’s birthday; Expresses love and admiration with a heartfelt message saying ‘You deserve a break’
Dia Mirza Rekhi, known for her iconic roles in films like Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, is celebrating her husband Vaibhav Rekhi’s birthday with love and joy. She took to social media to share never-seen-before photos of the couple, along with a heartfelt message expressing her pride and affection for him. She wrote, “Take some time to love yourself more. You deserve it. You work so hard.”
Today on Instagram (August 21), Dia Mirza Rekhi wished her husband a happy birthday. In a touching note, she expressed, “Happy Birthday, Husband. You always show up for all those you love and more, spreading joy, sharing your passion, and making the world a kinder place effortlessly.” She urged him to appreciate himself and acknowledged his hard work. Her message reflected deep love and admiration for the exceptional person he is, showcasing their strong bond.
Dia Mirza Rekhi also shared a series of photos on social media to commemorate the occasion. The photos include Vaibhav Rekhi posing with sunglasses while boating, Dia embracing him warmly during a safari, a childhood picture of her stepdaughter Samaira with Vaibhav, a photo of her son Avyaan with him, and a family portrait of them all together.
In a previous interview with News18, Dia mentioned that her stepdaughter Samaira calls her by her first name as she already has a mother whom she refers to as ‘mumma’. This has led to her son Avyaan occasionally calling her by her first name as well, which Dia finds amusing. She mentioned that she doesn’t expect Samaira to call her ‘maa’ or ‘mumma’, as she has a mother already. The actress also shared that Avyaan sometimes calls her ‘Dia mom’.
On the professional front, Dia Mirza is gearing up for the upcoming series IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. This series, based on the 1999 hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight IC 814, features an impressive cast including Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Varma, Manoj Pahwa, and more. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the mini-series is set to premiere on Netflix India on August 29.
