Demi Moore Provides Update on Bruce Willis as He Battles Dementia
Demi Moore is maintaining a positive attitude towards her former husband Bruce Willis‘ condition.
Demi, 61, recently discussed the Die Hard actor’s battle with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia, years after his initial diagnosis.
“You know, I’ve said this before. The disease is what it is,” the A Few Good Men star shared on Oct. 13 while addressing a crowd at the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival according to People. “And I think you have to truly accept it for what it is. But in his current state, he is stable.”
Demi, who is the mother of Rumer Willis, 36, Scout Willis, 33, and Tallulah Willis, 30, with Bruce, also shared her advice to their daughters, saying, “What I always encourage is to meet them where they are. Holding onto the past is futile. But embracing their current state brings remarkable beauty and tenderness.”
Despite divorcing Bruce, 67, in 2000, Demi mentioned that she still spends quality time with him, as he has since remarried Emma Heming Willis in 2009. The tight-knit Willis family, which also includes Bruce and Emma’s daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, has frequently shared glimpses of their loving bond over the years.
