Days Of Our Lives Stars Arianne Zucker And Shawn Christian Share Details of Their “Rustic, Elegant” Wedding
Arianne Zucker and Shawn Christian are sharing details about their recent wedding, describing it as rustic elegance. Zucker, 50, told PEOPLE that they wanted the event to be unforgettable for their guests so that they could look back at the photos and remember it as the best day of their lives.
The Days of Our Lives couple, who started dating in 2013, tied the knot on August 17 at Jacob’s Berry Farm in Gardnerville, Nevada. They also arranged entertainment the night before with a sunset party at a seaside wine bar.
“We wanted to create an experience that would stay in the hearts and memories of our guests forever,” Zucker, 50, shares with PEOPLE.
On their wedding day, around 100 family and friends gathered at the farm. Zucker explains that the location perfectly blended the backdrop of the Sierra Mountains with the warmth and excitement of a barn celebration. She felt that the venue represented them well and wanted to extend that feeling to all their guests.
“We felt that this property encapsulated who we are and we wanted to share that feeling with our guests,” she adds.

Their main focus was to ensure that everyone felt welcomed and enjoyed the wedding celebration. Christian, 58, mentioned that their priority was to make sure all guests had a great time at the event coordinated by Cynthia Ferris-Bennet.
“Our biggest priority was for everyone to enjoy being a part of the experience,” Christian, 58, says.
Tony Yasik, Christian’s best friend and best man, officiated the ceremony. They included some traditional elements, such as breaking a glass at the end of the ceremony in honor of Zucker’s Jewish heritage.
“Not big designer names. Less flash, more fun!” she tells PEOPLE. “When looking for a dress, you have an idea in mind that matches the wedding theme, and then it pops up on your Pinterest feed.”
She purchased her dress on Pinterest, describing it as a mix of boho and country elegance, accessorized with a belt and cowboy boots. The background music for her walk down the aisle was Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long.” Her glam was done by Sarah Santa. Zucker emphasized that she sought comfort and thematic suitability rather than designer labels.

To complement the event, Sierra Chef provided a delicious spread including roasted vegetables, fresh salmon, filet mignon, and various desserts.
Entertainment and dancing were highlights of the night, with a fun line-up organized by McClains DJ. The couple took dance lessons and performed a variety of dances.
“After being together for 11 years, I have become a better woman, mother, and partner because of Shawn,” Zucker shares. “He has given me the tools to elevate my goals in life.”
