Daredevil: Born Again Receives Exciting D23 Expo Update Featuring New Footage and Cast Reunion Including Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and More
Daredevil: Born Again is the highly anticipated series currently in development by Marvel Studios. Fans of the original Netflix series and the Man Without Fear have been eagerly awaiting news about the street-level superhero, and the D23 Expo 2024 has given them plenty to be excited about.
At the D23 Expo, which is taking place from August 9 to 11, attendees were treated to a fresh look at their favorite lawyer, Matt Murdock. According to Slash Film, the footage shown at the event has a “grimy and nasty” feel to it.
The new Disney+ series is said to maintain the same tone as the Netflix show, with Daredevil engaging in intense fights in the latest footage. The first glimpse of Daredevil: Born Again features a scene where Matt Murdock is working as a legal representative for another Marvel superhero, White Tiger.
White Tiger is a vigilante with powers granted by a magical tiger-themed amulet. The trailer also introduces Muse, a notorious Daredevil villain with a black-and-white costume similar to White Tiger’s.
It appears that Bullseye, a classic Daredevil foe from the comics, who was featured in season 3 of the Netflix series, will be in prison at the beginning of Daredevil: Born Again, as reported by The Direct.
In the D23 Expo footage, someone urges Matt Murdock to be a hero from behind prison glass, while Wilson Fisk is seen menacingly overlooking the city from a rooftop. Actors John Bernthal and Charlie Cox reprise their roles as The Punisher and Daredevil, respectively.
The new footage shows The Punisher confronting Daredevil aggressively, with Wilson Fisk and Matt engaging in a tense conversation in a diner. The series also brings back familiar faces such as Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson.
Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.
