Dawn Richard from Danity Kane Alleges Diddy of Sexual Assault
Richard submitted her legal claim just one day following a Michigan judge’s decision to instruct Combs to compensate inmate Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith with over $100 million. Cardello-Smith had filed a lawsuit against the rapper, accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting him in 1997, as per court documents obtained by E! News. The default ruling was made after Combs failed to attend a virtual hearing for the case.
At 51 years old, Cardello-Smith is currently incarcerated, serving multiple sentences for criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping charges from separate cases, according to court records.
Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, challenged the judgment, stating to E! News, “This individual is a known criminal with convictions for 14 counts of sexual assault and kidnapping over the past 26 years.” The lawyer went on to say, “His latest act includes deceiving the court while in prison, as Mr. Combs has no knowledge of him and has not received any lawsuit. Mr. Combs is eager to have this ruling swiftly nullified.”
E! News has made attempts to contact Cardello-Smith’s legal representatives for a response, but has yet to receive any feedback.
