Stars from Dance Moms Rally Behind Kelly Hyland as She Fights Breast Cancer
In an exclusive interview with E! News, Kelly disclosed that she discovered a lump in her breast during a self-examination in March.
“I scheduled a mammogram for myself,” she shared. “I had recently undergone one just eight months prior and the results had been clear. However, this new mammogram and sonogram revealed a mass.”
The 53-year-old mentioned that she received a diagnosis of invasive carcinoma stage 1, grade 3, and is currently undergoing her second out of six initial chemotherapy treatments, with surgery, radiation, and 11 more treatments as part of her treatment plan.
Despite her battle with cancer, Kelly is grateful to have the support of her loved ones by her side.
“It’s going to be a tough, lengthy year,” Paige expressed to E!, “but I have no doubt that my mom can overcome cancer!”
