Nia Sioux from Dance Moms Opens Up about Her Decision to Skip the Reunion
Nia Sioux isn’t interested in revisiting her time at Abby Lee Miller‘s dance studio.
That’s why the Dance Moms alum chose not to participate in the new Lifetime documentary special alongside former costars JoJo Siwa, Brooke Hyland, Paige Hyland, Kalani Hilliker, Kendall Vertes, and Chloé Lukasiak.
“The reason is quite straightforward,” Nia explained in an April 30 TikTok. “I simply didn’t want to do it. Some people speculate it was because of sorority commitments. Not true. Some people assume it’s because of school. While I am in school, it wouldn’t have been an issue.”
“I just didn’t want to do it,” the 22-year-old reiterated. “That’s a valid enough explanation, and that’s a valid enough reason.”
Even though Nia opted out of participating in Dance Moms: The Reunion, she acknowledges the significant impact the reality show had on her life.
“I always express gratitude for it,” she emphasized. “It’s my origin. It’s my starting point. It’s the foundation of the incredible life I have now, truly.”
