Ananya Panday Shares Behind-the-Scenes Transformation into Amol Palekar; Fans Compare Her to ‘Mini Chunky Panday’
After her successful OTT debut with Call Me Bae, Ananya Panday is set to entertain the audience in her upcoming thriller film, CTRL. Before the movie’s release on Netflix on October 4, the actress and filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane shared a glimpse of her character. In the sneak peeks, she transforms into actor-filmmaker Amol Palekar. Although they didn’t reveal much about the actress’s fun transformation, fans flooded with fun comments. Someone even compared her to a mini version of her father, actor Chunky Panday.
Ananya Panday took to her Instagram stories and shared a photo album that left many people amazed. The photo dump from the sets of her upcoming movie, CTRL, begins with her dressed as Amol Palekar, complete with a boy-cut wig, a mustache, glasses, and wearing a striped t-shirt with ribbed denims.
She confidently posed next to filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane. Subsequent glimpses show her transforming into the iconic actor and taking lessons from comedian Sumukhi Suresh. Don’t miss her engaging in and humorously failing at Sumo wrestling. In the captions, the actress wrote, “Why you may ask? Watch CTRL on Friday to find out.”

The visuals piqued the curiosity of netizens while making them burst out laughing. Some called the visuals “Legendary stuff,” and others commented that she resembles “Mini Chunky Pandey.” A user also expressed, “I don’t know why people troll Ananya Pandey so much when she has a heart of gold, she is really sweet as well… I am a huge fan of yours mam, keep working hard.”
Independent photographer Ishika Mohan Motwane, who was likely present when Ananya was practicing Sumo wrestling, commented, “Oh man! #When slide #7 happened, I remember not being able to shoot for five minutes!
