The rock community is grieving the loss of one of their own.
Crazy Town frontman Seth Binzer, known as Shifty Shellshock, passed away on June 24, confirmed by his management. He was 49.
“Seth Binzer was a brave warrior,” his representatives told E! News in a statement. “He was incredibly talented, full of light, compassion, love, and grace. He will be deeply missed by many. He had a magnetic soul.”
“We will always remember you, Seth,” the statement continued. “Our hearts are shattered. Thank you for your talents and contributions to the music industry. We were fortunate to have you in our lives.”
Binzer, who passed away at his Los Angeles home, according to the L.A. Medical Examiner’s office, is survived by his sons Halo with ex-partner Melissa Clark; Gage with ex-partner Tracy Shelor; and Phoenix with ex-partner Jasmine Lennard.
Binzer’s music journey began in 1992 when he met his Crazy Town bandmate, Bret “Epic” Mazur. They started as Brimstone Sluggers that year, eventually renaming themselves Crazy Town in 1999.
