The Country musician revealed her bisexuality during her RSVP Redux Tour at The Masonic venue in San Francisco, California. She proudly waved the rainbow flag while performing, and her coming out was met with a positive response from her fans!

 

Maren Morris confirms her sexuality on Instagram

On June 8th, Morris performed at the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix. She wore a white sheer, ruffled top with a black bra underneath and paired it with skinny black pants. In celebration of Pride month, she placed a rainbow flag inside her top, which she later took out and waved to the audience. The next day, she shared snippets of her performance on Instagram, stating, “Phoenix, Arizona. Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, and many other terms).” She ended the post with Happy Pride and a rainbow emoji. 

 

Fans respond to Morris’s announcement

After Morris shared her announcement on Instagram, she received a warm reception from the community and her followers. “Happy Pride, an actual icon!” one user commented on her post. 

“HAPPY PRIDE! Thanks for being an inspiration, and what a special pride this one is!” another fan expressed. Another fan referred to her as their “favorite bicon” and sent her happy pride wishes. “A fellow bicon! So much love for you!” another person wrote. 

Being one of the few LGBTQ+ Country artists, Morris was initially nervous to come out but was thrilled by the supportive response. In 2018, she wrote a letter to the LGBTQ community for Billboard, expressing her gratitude for their embrace and discussing the importance of representing them in country music.

Morris is currently on tour, with her final performance scheduled for September at the All Things Go Music Festival in Columbia, Maryland.
