Conan O’Brien jokingly offered role in White Lotus 3 by creator Mike White, reveals late-night host
According to the creator of The White Lotus, Mike White, many celebrities request to be cast in his show, but only a few are chosen. One such celebrity was Conan O’Brien. In an episode of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend podcast, Conan narrated a story of meeting White while filming his HBO show, Conan O’Brien Must Go to Bangkok Thailand.
O’Brien recalled, “I was in Bangkok shooting for our travel show, when not long ago, I bumped into Mike White at a restaurant before they started shooting The White Lotus. We chatted since we had met before, and he’s a funny and cool guy.”
During the conversation, O’Brien expressed his interest in being a part of the show’s next season, to which White jokingly mentioned the possibility of O’Brien playing a male gigolo.
Walton Goggins, who was also part of the podcast, supported White’s idea, leading to a humorous discussion about O’Brien’s potential role in the show.
Goggins shared that he believes O’Brien could both play the part and embody the character in real life, to which O’Brien appreciated the compliment.

For the upcoming third season of The White Lotus, Walton Goggins will be joining a talented cast including Michelle Monaghan, Leslie Bibb, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Parker Posey, and Natasha Rothwell from season 1.
Goggins reflected on the immersive experience of filming in Thailand and hinted at the season’s wider themes that will resonate deeply with a broad audience.
Natasha Rothwell, who portrayed Belinda in season 1, teased that the third season will be highly engaging and satisfying for fans.
The White Lotus season 3 is scheduled to premiere on HBO in 2025, while seasons 1 and 2 are available for streaming on Max.
