Claudia Oshry Exposes Hair Loss Problems Caused by Ozempic
Ozempic is no joke for the comedian. Handler shared that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed her the medication without knowing what it was.
“I wasn’t even aware I was taking it,” she mentioned during the Jan. 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “She suggested, ‘If you ever want to shed five pounds, this is good.'”
Although she gave the drug a try, Handler pointed out that she wasn’t fond of how it made her feel.
“After returning from a trip, I injected myself with it,” she remembered. “I went out to lunch with a friend a few days later, and she mentioned, ‘I’m not eating much. I’m feeling nauseous, I’m on Ozempic.’ And I thought, ‘I’m feeling a bit nauseous too.’ But I had just returned from Spain and was dealing with jet lag.”
In the end, Handler stopped using the medication as it wasn’t necessary for her medically, and she ended up giving the remaining doses to her friends.
“I’ve given about four or five of my friends Ozempic injections because I realized I didn’t need it, it was pointless,” she explained. “It’s meant for overweight individuals. I have friends coming over, and I tell them, ‘Okay, I can see you at 1, I can see you at 2.'”
