47-Year-Old Stunt Double Tony McFarr, Known for Working with Chris Pratt, Passes Away
Hollywood is grieving the loss of a beloved stunt man.
Antonio “Tony” McFarr, a stunt double known for his work with Chris Pratt, was discovered deceased in his home in Orlando, Fla., on May 13, as confirmed by the Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office to E! News. He was 47.
The cause of his death has not been disclosed yet, with the medical examiner’s office conducting a toxicology exam, and awaiting the results.
Tony’s mother, Donna, has also shared her thoughts on his passing, expressing to TMZ that the news was “sudden and shocking,” emphasizing that her son was “vibrant and fit.”
Throughout his career, Tony worked on 60 projects starting in 2011 with the TV series Bones, and notably as a stand-in for Chris Pratt in films such as Jurassic World and its sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, as well as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. Two and Passengers. Over time, Chris praised their collaboration.
