Criticism Mounts Against Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger for Razing Los Angeles Home
Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger are facing criticism for their plans regarding a historic Los Angeles home.
The couple, known for their roles in Guardians of the Galaxy and Katherine’s work as a children’s book author, came under fire after it was revealed that they intended to demolish an architecturally significant property they purchased less than a year ago. This information was obtained from permit reports by Robb Report.
The home, named the Zimmerman House, was acquired by Chris, 44, and Katherine, 34, in early 2023 for $12.5 million through a private sale. Shortly after the purchase, the couple, who have two children named Lyla Maria and Eloise Christina, submitted plans to demolish the existing property and construct a new home in its place.
According to reports, the new construction will completely transform the original one-story midcentury structure. Renowned L.A. architect Ken Ungar is set to design the new two-story house, which will include a backyard swimming pool and pool house, as per the details in the Robb Report.
