Chiefs’ Harrison Butker Discusses Women’s Important Role Despite Criticism
The Pearl Jam frontman had some strong words, referring to Butker as a “f—kin’ p—y” during a concert in Las Vegas on May 18.
“That’s a group of talented individuals, with the singer, Jessica [Dobson], and the keyboard player, Patti [King], who didn’t buy into the ‘diabolical lie’ that women should play second fiddle to their man,” he expressed, pointing to his bandmates on stage.
Vedder, a father to daughters Olivia and Harper with his wife Jill McCormick, waited for the applause to die down before stating that homemaking is one of the toughest jobs that one should take pride in.
He further questioned the logic behind advising anyone, regardless of gender, to give up on their dreams.
According to Vedder, “There’s nothing more masculine than a strong man supporting a strong woman, and individuals of character embrace equality.”
