Did Cheryl Burke Hook Up With DWTS’ Gilles Marini?
Cheryl Burke isn’t avoiding rumors regarding her and Gilles Marini.
The Dancing With the Stars competitor put an end to speculation suggesting that she had a romantic involvement with the married Sex and the City actor while he was her celebrity partner on season eight of the reality show.
“We had that special connection without actually having a physical relationship,” Cheryl disclosed to Gilles during his appearance on the April 14 episode of her Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans podcast. “Chemistry.”
Although she acknowledged being aware of the rumors suggesting that she had been romantically involved with Gilles, Cheryl emphasized that such assumptions were untrue.
“There was never anything physical between us,” the 39-year-old clarified. “We were very close, emotionally connected, as friends. We experienced highs and lows together.”
Addressing the origins of the speculation, Cheryl reiterated that the chemistry she shared with Gilles—who has two children with his wife of 26 years, Carole Marini—was exceptional.
“You can’t fake that,” she stated. “Either you have that spark with someone or you don’t, and it was intense.”
