Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen’s Heartwarming Dad Moments
Experiencing immense joy also meant discovering the feeling of dad guilt. Anderson Cooper shared his thoughts, “If I spend three hours with Ben, and then I have to go to work, you know, you’re at work, and you’re like, ‘Did I spend enough time with Ben today?'” He expressed that moments like when his son calls him his best friend or seeks his hand bring him the greatest happiness.
Cooper considers being Wyatt and Sebastian’s dad as his greatest accomplishment, stating in an interview with People last September that there have been many instances of pure joy and delight that leave him in awe.
“This is the best time in my life,” Cooper emphasized. “There is no doubt about it.”
He mentioned that coparenting with his ex-partner Benjamin Maisani, despite their breakup in 2018, feels natural due to their complementary schedules. Cooper explained, “I work nights, and so he’s there at night. And we both wake up right before they wake up, get them their milk and spend the first couple of hours of the day just us with them. And Benjamin speaks French to them. I have no idea what they’re saying. I think they’re plotting against me.”
Despite the challenges, having each other as support, Cohen and Cooper navigate the parenting journey together.
