Channing Tatum Advocates for Potential ’21 Jump Street’ and ‘Men In Black’ Crossover, Expresses Optimism
Imagine if the massive franchises of 21 Jump Street and Men In Black were to have a crossover. Fans are eager to see what could come out of this collaboration, and Channing Tatum is determined to make this dream a reality. Despite initial plans for a movie called MIB 23 after the Sony email leak in 2014, the project never materialized.
Nevertheless, Tatum remains optimistic about the possibility of the movie being made in the future. He mentioned in an interview with ComingBook.com, “There is a project that was written, and it’s still the best script that I’ve ever read for a third movie.” Tatum has previously starred in the action comedy films 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street alongside Jonah Hill.

The film series is based on the Fox series from 1987-1991, with stars like Johnny Depp, Holly Robinson, Peter DeLuise, Richard Grieco, and Dustin Nguyen. The movies follow two undercover cops posing as high school students in comedic situations.
In discussing a possible sequel to 22 Jump Street with Scarlett Johansson, Tatum mentioned that it didn’t happen due to bureaucratic reasons. Despite the challenges, he remains hopeful for a crossover, stating, “It’s really hard to get it made, and we’ve been trying to get it done.” He expressed his desire for a 23 Jump Street movie with Jonah Hill, emphasizing their shared interest in reprising their roles.

According to Time, MIB 23 would see Tatum and Hill as new recruits in the government. Hill also praised the script of MIB 23 during the Sony Leak, describing it as “clean and rad and powerful.” However, there is no confirmation of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones reprising their Men In Black roles in this crossover.
