Channing Tatum Accuses Ex-wife Jenna Dewan of Using ‘Delay Tactics’ in Divorce Proceedings

Channing Tatum and his ex-wife Jenna Dewan are involved in a contentious legal battle after their divorce.

The Blink Twice actor has accused Jenna Dewan of intentionally delaying the divorce proceedings as a result of her recent petition in their ongoing financial and legal dispute.

Dewan has filed a petition claiming that Tatum is withholding her rightful share in the Magic Mike intellectual property, which her legal team argues was co-funded by Dewan and developed during their marriage. She has requested the court to remove Tatum’s attorneys from the case just three months before their upcoming trial.

Responding to Dewan’s allegations, Tatum filed a petition asking the court to dismiss her request, labeling it as a delay tactic.

Tatum criticized Dewan’s actions as an attempt to postpone their divorce trial, denying accusations of denying her share of community assets or income.

He also stated that Dewan has never been a client of the law firms he consulted, making it impossible for them to have any confidential information about her that would benefit their case.

Tatum also demanded Dewan repay $20,000 in legal fees resulting from her delay.

The legal battle began in May concerning the rights and profits of the Magic Mike franchise, which started with the 2012 film.

Tatum and Dewan acquired rights to the franchise and expanded it to sequels, a reality show, and a Las Vegas attraction.

In a separate petition, Dewan accused Tatum of transferring earnings from Magic Mike movies into an irrevocable trust without her knowledge and transferring licensing rights to a third party, which Tatum denied.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan met in 2006, married in 2009, and share a daughter. They divorced in 2019 and have been entangled in legal battles since then.

Currently, Tatum is engaged to actress Zoë Kravitz.
