Channing Tatum accuses his ex Jenna Dewan of employing “delaying tactics”
The actress from Rookie is claiming that she and Channing Tatum jointly acquired the Magic Mike intellectual property. She alleges that Tatum placed the earnings from it in an “irrevocable trust” and transferred licensing rights to a third party without informing her, as reported by People referencing court documents.
Tatum refuted her claim in his own court filing, which was obtained by E! News.
“The intellectual property for Magic Mike was developed during the marriage, and various entities related to it were established during and after the separation,” the documents state. “[Tatum] has dedicated significant efforts post-separation to enhance the Magic Mike intellectual property and related entities, which he believes gives him a separate property interest.”
According to his attorney in the filing, the court will need to determine the division between the community interest and Tatum’s separate property interest in the intellectual property and related entities considering his efforts post-separation.
