Cara Delevingne Shines in Diamond-Encrusted Hooded Met Gala Ensemble
Cara Delevingne is transitioning from Carnival Row to showcasing her 2024 Met Gala attire to fans.
She showed up at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on May 6, donning a diamond-studded top paired with a hooded headpiece and a white satin skirt designed by Stella McCartney—with styling credits going to Jamie Mizrahi. (Check out all the celebrity looks here).
Cara revealed to Live From E! that the outfit features lab-grown diamonds in order to make a sustainable impact.
Being no stranger to the Met Gala, Cara’s inaugural attendance was in 2011.
Last year, Cara honored the late Karl Lagerfeld by wearing one of his creations—a tribute to his iconic white shirt—for the Costume Institute’s retrospective dedicated to him.
Previously, the Only Murders in the Building star opted for Dior for four consecutive years—ranging from a red suit and gold body paint for the “In America” showcase in 2022, to her “Peg the Patriarchy” statement ensemble in 2021, a striped rainbow ensemble for the Camp exhibition in 2019, and a black sheer dress with a matching veil for the Heavenly Bodies theme in 2018.
