Fans are filled with joy as Jin’s discharge from military service is just around the corner. He recently shared a message with fans when there were only six days left, promising to return with a new look. Jin started his military service as an active-duty soldier on December 13, 2022.
On June 2, BIGHIT MUSIC announced that Jin would lead BTS’ anniversary celebrations on June 13, including a special Hug Fairy encounter for 1,000 lucky fans. This news sparked excitement on social media as fans eagerly awaited the chance to meet Jin.
His impending comeback has also had an impact on the stock market, with HYBE’s stock price seeing a significant increase following the announcement. Analysts attribute this surge to Jin’s imminent discharge date and the anticipation of upcoming events, particularly during BTS’ Festa.

Kim Seok Jin, also known as Jin, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and member of BTS since June 2013. He has co-written and released three solo tracks with BTS, including Awake (2016), Epiphany (2018), and Moon (2020), all of which have charted well in South Korea. Jin also released his first independent song, Tonight, in 2019. He is recognized for his vocal abilities and falsetto as a singer.
In addition to his music career, Jin has hosted various South Korean music programs and received the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit from the President of South Korea in 2018 for his contributions to Korean culture. In 2021, Jin and BTS were appointed as Special Presidential Envoys for Future Generations and Culture by President Moon Jae In.
