Brittany Cartwright Shares Her Reasons for Filing for Divorce from Jax Taylor
Brittany Cartwright is revealing more about her decision to end her marriage to Jax Taylor.
The 35-year-old has detailed why she decided to file for divorce from her estranged husband, her Bravo Vanderpump Rules co-star on the spinoff The Valley and father of their 3-year-old son Cruz.
“Many people online have speculated that this was all for show or for ratings, but that couldn’t be further from the truth,” Cartwright shared on the Aug. 30 episode of the couple’s podcast When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany. “My decision to file for divorce was not taken lightly.”
Cartwright officially filed for divorce from the 45-year-old Taylor on Aug. 27, ending their five-year marriage six months after they announced their split on Vanderpump Rules.
“It has taken me several years to reach this point where I have found the courage and strength to do what is best for me, to leave a toxic relationship and to recognize my own worth,” Cartwright explained on the podcast. “It has been a challenging journey, but I am now stronger than ever, and my main motivation is my son, Cruz, who deserves to have a happy and healthy mother.”
