Bristol Palin Expresses Heartbreak Over Her 15-Year-Old Son Tripp Moving Out of Her Home
Bristol Palin is sharing her feelings about her son Tripp Johnston‘s latest chapter.
In a first day of school photo with her daughters Sailor Grace (8) and Atlee Bay (7), whom she shares with ex-husband Dakota Meyer, Bristol revealed that her 15-year-old son has returned to Alaska.
“This has been the toughest ‘first day of school’ yet with one of the biggest pieces of my heart missing,” the 33-year-old, who co-parents Tripp with her ex Levi Johnston, shared on Instagram on Aug. 14. “Tripp has chosen to finish high school in Alaska to be closer to his dad and our entire family.”
Bristol mentioned that Tripp’s love for hunting and fishing influenced his decision.
“Although accepting his decision has been difficult, it’s not about what I want,” the daughter of Todd Palin and Sarah Palin explained. “He’s almost 16 years old and his relationship with his dad is more important than my own desires to have him with me forever! I can’t talk about it without getting emotional, but I’m selfishly praying for a swift year and a smooth transition for all of us.”
