Bridgerton stars Bessie Carter and Sam Phillips seen showing affection in public during day out
During season three of Bridgerton, Lord Debling found himself drawn to Penelope Featherington, but actor Sam Phillips had his eye on a different Featherington sister.
Bessie Carter, known from The Crown where she plays the older sister of Penelope’s older sister Prudence, confirmed her romance with Sam during a cozy outing in Sussex, U.K.
The couple was spotted taking a morning stroll on June 22, with Bessie planting kisses on Sam’s shoulder. They chose a casual attire for the day, with Bessie in a black sweatshirt, gray leggings, and sneakers, while Sam wore an orange T-shirt, black sweatpants, and sneakers, along with a blue baseball cap.
Although they had not publicly addressed their relationship before, they have previously appeared alongside Bessie’s parents Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter on the red carpet. In December, they attended the finale celebration of The Crown season six in London, where Imelda portrayed Queen Elizabeth II in the final two seasons, and Sam played an Equerry in seasons three and four.
