Every year, the seating arrangements undergo numerous changes as the event approaches, with Ward Durrett opting for Velcro over post-it notes to avoid errors. “The seating chart has gone through many iterations,” she revealed. “Initially, we used stickies, which was chaotic—stickers falling off, names getting lost, and constant rewrites.”
Color-coding is utilized, with a preference for alternating between women and men in seating patterns. Surprisingly, a key rule is to never seat spouses next to each other. “The purpose of these gatherings is to connect with new people and take interest in others’ endeavors.
