Reality of Having a Baby at 48: Bravo Star Caroline Stanbury Opens Up
The couple has not made any concrete decisions about expanding their family, so they are keeping their options open.
Caroline mentioned, “We are in search of a surrogate. I never imagined I would be in a situation where I am looking for another woman to carry my baby. I am trying to figure out what that process would entail. What if she wants to live in another country? What if Sergio wants to feel the baby’s kicks? There are countless questions that I do not have answers to at this moment.”
Despite the uncertainties, Caroline is confident in one aspect of their parenthood journey.
“I believe Sergio will be an amazing dad,” she shared, “and he deserves to experience fatherhood. It could even be enjoyable! Perhaps I am better equipped to handle it now. I know what to expect, so I won’t be as overwhelmed.”
She added, “One thing we have given others is hope. I am proving that women can start a new chapter in life—even at the age of 48.”
