Brandon Sklenar Explains His Decision to Speak Out During It Ends With Us Backlash: ‘It Just Didn’t Make Sense to Stay Quiet…’
Brandon Sklenar recently addressed the backlash surrounding his latest romantic drama film, It Ends With Us, before its release. He spoke out against rumors of tension between co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, who directed the film and played Ryle Kincaid.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Sklenar, who portrayed Atlas Corrigan in the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, explained his decision to address the negativity on social media.
Sklenar said, “I put that [statement] out, and I was like, ‘Let’s see how this goes. I don’t know.'” He added, “It just seemed silly to me, just kind of defeating the whole purpose of the thing to spread any negativity.”
Sklenar emphasized that It Ends With Us is a significant movie for many women and survivors of domestic abuse, aiming to make them feel heard, strong, and loved. He stressed that any negativity goes against the film’s message, thanking those who appreciate it.
Last month, Sklenar posted a statement on Instagram to address online rumors of a rift between Lively and Baldoni.
