Danielle Fishel, Star of Boy Meets World, Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis
Even though Danielle once believed she would keep her struggle with cancer to herself, she decided to share her experience after being inspired by author and motivational speaker Glennon Doyle.
“Glennon often talks about how many people wait to share their stories until they have a happy ending, so they can say, ‘Here’s the nice, neat conclusion, here’s what I’ve learned,’” Danielle explained. “But the most valuable lessons often come from the beginning or the messiness in the middle of a story.”
Initially, Danielle only confided in her husband Jensen Karp, their children Adler (5) and Keaton (2), her parents, and her brother about her diagnosis. However, she realized the benefits of opening up and sharing her journey with others.
