Blake Lively issues apology after cancer diagnosis for joking about Kate Middleton
It is now evident that Kate chose to step away from the public eye to prioritize her health and family. In a video posted on her social media accounts on March 22, the 42-year-old explained, “It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to begin my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is suitable for them, and to reassure them that I will be fine.”
Kate, who did not reveal the specific type of cancer she has been diagnosed with, acknowledged that the past few months have been challenging. She shared, “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, initially believing my condition was non-cancerous. Despite the successful surgery, subsequent tests revealed the presence of cancer. As a result, my medical team recommended a course of preventive chemotherapy, which I am currently undergoing.”
