Blackout, the comedy thriller starring Vikrant Massey and Mouni Roy, was finally released today, June 7, on JioCinema after a long wait. Shortly after its release, social media was flooded with reviews of Devang Shashin Bhavsar’s directorial debut.

Blackout Trailer
The 2-minute 35-second trailer of Blackout shows Vikrant Massey in various avatars including a turban and long beard. Massey plays the role of Lenny D’Souza, a sting operation journalist who meets with a car accident during a blackout.
Lenny discovers a pile of treasure in another car, sparking his desire to become the ‘Badshah.’ The trailer also introduces Sunil Grover and later Mouni Roy joining him on his journey.
In one scene, Vikrant as Lenny says, “Kismat itni kharab hai meri, aasmaan mein patthar bhi phekhunga na, s**la astroid banke mere upar hi girega (My luck is so bad, even if I throw a stone in the sky, it will turn into an asteroid and fall on me).”
