Firerose Accuses Billy Ray Cyrus of Domestic Abuse During Divorce Proceedings
Billy Ray Cyrus’ decision to file for divorce from Firerose comes just a day before the 36-year-old country singer’s mastectomy. Initiated in Nashville on May 23rd, Billy Ray cited irreconcilable differences, inappropriate behavior, and marital misconduct as reasons for the divorce following their short-lived marriage.
Conversely, Firerose has also filed for divorce herself, citing domestic abuse as one of the contributing factors.
Sources indicate allegations of abuse by Billy Ray Cyrus towards Firerose
According to People magazine, Firerose accused the Achy Breaky Heart singer of severe verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse, prompting her own divorce filing. She submitted a counter-complaint in a Tennessee court alleging that Cyrus is a volatile drunkard addicted to drugs. The complaint highlighted his filing for divorce shortly before her scheduled surgery.
Reports obtained by the publication stated that Firerose’s lawyers claimed she experienced significant abuse and cited Cyrus’s drug use and volatile behavior. Billy Ray Cyrus has not publicly addressed these claims.
The ongoing divorce battle between Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose
The couple married in October 2023. Sources revealed that Cyrus filed for divorce, claiming Firerose was not the same person he had married. Reports also suggested that she entered the marriage for financial gain, leading to trust issues and drama.
Cyrus, 62, filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct. He also sought an annulment based on fraud. Firerose denied these claims, citing concerns about her safety due to Cyrus’s behavior.
Firerose discovered she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation in 2020, leading to a scheduled double mastectomy on May 24th, 2024. She alleged that Cyrus’s behavior in the lead-up to the surgery caused emotional distress.
The complaint detailed years of abuse from Cyrus, including verbal attacks and manipulation. Firerose sought psychological treatment due to the impact of the abuse on her well-being.
Cyrus’s divorce filing resulted in the postponement of Firerose’s surgery as she lost health insurance and funding. She also accused Cyrus of sabotaging her career and sought alimony in the divorce proceedings.
Additionally, their joint manager and booking agent stopped providing services to Firerose as per Cyrus’s request, resulting in financial losses. The divorce proceedings have halted the surgery and added further strain to the already tumultuous relationship between Billy Ray Cyrus and Firerose.
