Billie Eilish showcased the potential for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics to be extraordinary.
Following Tom Cruise‘s torch relay from Paris to Los Angeles during the 2024 Olympics Closing Ceremony on Aug. 11, Billie kicked off the excitement for the 2028 summer games with a seaside performance of “Birds of a Feather.”
The 22-year-old, following the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ performance of “Can’t Stop,” sang her hit Hit Me Hard And Soft with her brother and music partner Finneas. Showing her Team USA support, she sported an Olympics-themed Ralph Lauren polo, cargo shorts, and mismatched red and blue knee-high socks. She also added her unique style, finishing the look with a Phantogram baseball hat, basketball shoes, and a dog tag necklace.
Billie’s performance captured the essence of Los Angeles, set on a blue ocean dock surrounded by fans and palm trees. Later, Snoop Dogg closed the homage to the West Coast city with performances of “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “The Next Episode” alongside Dr. Dre.
