Bethenny Frankel Sends a Message to Olivia Culpo Regarding Paul Bernon and Aurora Culpo
Then, she noted, she got “hit with an onslaught of articles.” Initially, Bethenny saw the reports about Aurora—whom she never mentions—and Paul as just a small blip.
“But last week, I started to notice my name in headlines portraying me as the jilted ex who had been left behind, my ex moving on with a younger woman. The media was spinning a continuous narrative painting him as an under-the-radar person who was now in a serious relationship, having met each other’s families and kids, exchanging gifts, and forming a new unit,” she shared. “Meanwhile, they painted me as a lonely spinster at home, devastated by the breakup and watching his new romance unfold. In reality, I was genuinely happy.”
Still, Bethenny confessed that reading about the alleged relationship right after her engagement ended was “heartbreaking” and felt like reliving the breakup all over again.
“It was particularly tough to constantly see the headlines painting my ex as the hero and me as the villain,” she explained. “Why is it always the woman who’s the villain, the old maid, the one left behind, the crazy one? In this case, it’s assumed that I’m the one over the radar, when ironically, I was the one flying under it.”
Nevertheless, Bethenny is moving forward. “I’m seeking therapy. I’m focusing on self-improvement. I’m confident. I’m single. I’m independent,” she declared. “I’m happy, and I’ll get through this.”
