Ben Affleck Reunites with Best Friend Matt Damon After Split with Jennifer Lopez
Despite keeping a low profile since the news broke, Jennifer recently returned to social media. She shared a fan’s throwback photo on her Instagram Stories on Aug. 23. In the photo, she was wearing a fuzzy pink robe and taking a selfie in front of a Christmas tree.
On the same day that J.Lo filed for divorce, the star of Argo was flying back to Los Angeles from New Haven, Conn. He and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, had moved their eldest daughter, Violet, 18, to Yale University for her freshman year. The couple also has two other children, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
In February, Ben hinted at the differences between him and Jennifer when it came to their marriage. He mentioned how they fundamentally disagreed on showcasing their romance in public, especially after rekindling their relationship from the early 2000s.
Ben discussed this in Jen’s documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, saying, “Getting back together, I said, ‘Listen, one of the things I don’t want is a relationship on social media.’ And then I sort of realized it’s not a fair thing to ask. It’s sort of like you’re gonna marry a boat captain and you go, ‘Well, I don’t like the water.’ We’re just two people with kind of different approaches trying to learn to compromise.”
